We offer several options on our Walking Holidays:

• Self Guided Walking and Self Catering accommodation : £550

We offer something for everyone. Should you wish to walk in a group and have all your meals prepared for you, breakfast, picnic lunches and dinners then our fully catered option is the one for you. On these walking tours you can walk either Guided or Self Guided.

If however you are looking for a little more flexibility on dates then why not opt for one of our Self Guided Self Catering options. You will stay in one of our beautiful properties, cater for yourselves and yet still have the beauty of being dropped off and picked up on our daily walks.

Walking Tours - Our Walks
We have chosen local paths and trails around a region where we have spent many years living. Our walking tours meander along ancient chemins past historic sites, villages and Chateaux. They have been chosen to enable you to discover the wealth of interesting places this region offers. Pass truffle orchards, famous chateaux, grottes, limestone caves, quaint hamlets, ancient abbeys and gold panning rivers !

All our walks can be adapted to suit your walking holiday requirements. Whether you are looking to cover small daily rambling walks of around 5km, 10km or up to 20km we can organise an itinerary to suit you. We are here to help you get the best out of your walking holiday. All our walks can be taken at a pace to enable you to take in the diversity of wildlife, stop to take photos and enjoy the scenery.

Self Guided
All our all inclusive walking tours can be taken with a guide or alternatively if you wish to walk at your own pace with maps and gps then we can supply you with route maps and gpx files for your gps. Our walking holidays can be adjusted accordingly. Please contact us to discuss what you would like to get out of your holiday.

The Area

The Dordogne region of France offers some of the most stunning countryside and diversity of wild life.

With its many rivers, undulating hills and valleys, chateaux, bastide towns and prehistoric roots it has long been a popular holiday destination.

Lavaud is situated in a National Park in the Perigord Vert region of the Dordogne, just over half an hour north of the capital Perigueux, a region of limestone plateaux, this makes for many interesting caves, grottos and limestone cliffs. Steeped in history, with many historic towns, quaint hamlets and hundreds of km's of footpaths the Dordogne offers its visitors a holiday to remember.

This walking holiday will give you a chance to explore a slice of this historic region with the opportunity to visit truffle plantations, market towns, limestone caves, ancient abbeys, long lost Bories and walk down paths and chemins dating back hundreds of years. A huge diversity of wildlife including rare plants, birds, boar and deer all starting on the doorstep of your accommodation.
